Citurna Casual Food

Citurna Casual Food

Citurna Casual Food is a Peruvian-owned restaurant tucked away on Calle El Moral 1 in Las Coloradas, Playa Blanca, in the south of Lanzarote. The premises are spacious, light, and airy — a relaxed setting that matches the unfussy, welcoming spirit of the food. The kitchen draws on South American foundations and weaves in Asian and Canarian influences to produce a fusion menu that feels both inventive and grounded.

The standout dishes are hard to argue with. Korean chicken arrives spicy, crispy, and sweet — a crowd-pleaser in every sense. The prawn taco pairs a crispy shell with avocado and chipotle mayo for something fresh and punchy. Iberico pork Al Pastor is marinated in chillies and served with roasted pineapple and corn tortillas, while the Covered Chaufa Rice — egg fried rice with char siu pork, finished tableside — is a theatrical and deeply satisfying choice. Portions are generous throughout, and the cocktail list is excellent: the Margarita and Mexican Mule are both worth ordering.

Budget around €45 per head without premium wine — fair value for the quality and quantity on offer. Reservations are recommended, particularly in high season. Citurna is one of the more interesting dining options in the south of the island, and well worth the detour.
